Ellie - Competition Winner!
Some partnerships take time to find their rhythm and Ellie’s story is a perfect reminder that patience, support and the right home can help an ex-racer truly shine.
Ellie, previously known as Dubai Elegance, came to SB after her racing career on the flat, which continued until the age of nine. Today, she is thriving in a home where she is understood, loved and encouraged - and her transformation has been remarkable.
Her owner Tanya shares:
“We had a rocky 1st year with me expecting way too much too quick and losing a lot of my confidence. After moving to a yard I was at with my previous horse and having amazing friends helping, advising and lessons with amazing coaches, me and Ellie are now doing way more than I ever thought we would! She wouldn’t even go over rustic poles on the ground but now she flies a 70cm course, loves her cross country and has amazing dressage moves! Our bond is the most amazing bond I’ve ever had… even if she is a stroppy chestnut mare at times, she is my stroppy chestnut mare and I wouldn’t change anything about her! Thank you SB for my amazing girl.”
We are so proud of Ellie and Tanya for the journey they’ve taken together - from early challenges to flying around courses, discovering new passions and building a partnership full of trust and joy.
Tanya has also told us at SB that herself and Ellie have competed in their 1st combined training competition this weekend and came 1st! Amazing work, massive congratulations.
