At SB, we’re always happy to welcome people who share our passion for horses and their welfare. We regularly offer opportunities for volunteers, apprenticeships and university or college placements, giving like-minded individuals the chance to learn, grow and become part of our supportive team.

Volunteers play a valued role in the day-to-day care of our horses, and placements provide hands-on experience in rehabilitation, management and life on a busy Thoroughbred yard. Whether you're looking to develop your skills, gain practical knowledge or simply spend time helping horses transition to a new life, we’d love to hear from you.

Current Positions Available:

We currently have an opening for Thursday Staff. Hours are 8am-12:30pm every Thursday, helping us with general yard work, and also needing to be a competent rider who is confident riding ex-racehorses.
