Ellablue - A Gentle Soul
Some horses arrive in our care and we know they are waiting for someone very special. Ellablue, lovingly known as Ella, was one of those horses. After spending time with us, she caught Nicola’s heart, and with a few chats and videos to confirm what her instincts already knew, Ella set off to her forever home in March 2024.
At twenty years young, Ella is a shining example of how age is only a number when a horse is loved, cared for and given the right home. Nicola has taken a thoughtful and gentle approach to her new partnership, giving Ella light schooling, relaxed hacking and plenty of time to enjoy her new life. They have now begun hacking out alone, and Ella has shown herself to be brave, kind and completely trustworthy. Out on the trails she will happily walk past anything they meet, ears forward and full of confidence.
Despite her years, Ella is wonderfully fit and full of life, often adding a little jig jog on the way home just to show her enthusiasm. She has settled beautifully, and it is clear that she has found her perfect home and person.

“Ellablue came to me from SB in March. She had been with SB and was looking for a new mummy and I had to snap her up. After a chat and videos from Sharon she was delivered to me. At twenty years young we have done a little schooling and gentle hacking, and we have just started hacking alone. She is such a special kind lady and will go past anything we meet. She is super fit for twenty and enjoys a little jig jog on the way home. I just wish I had found her many years ago.”
