Des (racing name The Defiant) is a 10 year-old gelding who was trained by Luke Dace. During his racing career, Des was a successful racehorse, winning over £85,000 on the flat, and is now enjoying his retirement as he begins the search for his forever home.
Des has quickly become a firm favourite here at SB Racehorse Rehoming thanks to his kind nature. He is a genuine pleasure to have around the yard, with lovely manners and an easy-going temperament that makes him a joy to handle.
Under saddle, Des is an absolute gentleman. He is fantastic to hack, both alone and in company, has impeccable manners and has been road tested. He also enjoys spending time in the school, where he is working well and continuing to develop his education.
Des has all the ingredients to make a fantastic all-round riding horse. He is the type of horse who enjoys his work, loves spending time with people, and has a bright future ahead of him with someone who will continue his education and enjoy everything he has to offer.
Des is a very special boy, and we would love to see him find an experienced, loving home where he can continue to thrive and build a lasting partnership with his new person.
