Bishop is a big, lovely horse who is really starting to build a good amount of muscle and strength. He is a kind horse to have around the yard, enjoys people and has settled really well into life at SB.
He is happy hacking both alone and in company and particularly enjoys being out and about with his friends. Bishop is a forward-going ride who enjoys having a job to do and is showing plenty of enthusiasm for his work.
Bishop has also enjoyed experience outside of racing. He thoroughly enjoyed his jumping, attending baby showjumping competitions, cross-country schooling and hound exercise, giving him a great foundation of experience to build on. He has a very scopey jump, so show jumping could be another option for his future.
A couple of years ago, Bishop slipped in the yard and sustained a fracture to his wither. This has healed beautifully, and he has subsequently had full soundness investigations and veterinary work-ups. No underlying issue was found. Bishop does have a tendency to swish his tail, but extensive investigations have not identified a veterinary reason for this behaviour - it seems to simply be something Bishop likes to do!
Bishop is a genuine, fun horse with plenty of potential and we think he has a fantastic future ahead of him. He would suit someone looking for a horse to continue producing and enjoy, with the potential to explore a variety of disciplines.
Viewings are actively encouraged and we would love for people to come and meet Bishop, see him at home and get to know him.
